The Importance of Your Words

Good Morning, People!!!

While making repairs to a pole light reported out on a bridge overlooking a creek, Chuck observed a man approaching to cross. Not wanting to pass under him while he worked, the man stopped halfway across, looked out at the water underneath the bridge, and just stood there. After a few minutes of trying to complete the repairs quickly so he wouldn’t intrude on the man’s journey, he decided to speak to him.

“Sorry for the wait. I’m trying my best to hurry. I know it’s cold out, but at least the sun is shining. What a beautiful time it is to be alive!”

The man, finally looking up at him, gave a hideous look and walked back in the direction he had come. A year later, while in a gas station wearing that same sock monkey hat, Chuck ran into a man who recognized him and the hat. The man approached him, asked for a hug, and to Chuck’s surprise, whispered thank you in his ear for saving his life on the bridge a year prior.

I guess words do carry a sort of power.

Today’s Kansas City metro area weather starts out cold again in the mid-teens and reaches a high of 41°.

Today’s topic is on “The Importance of Your Words.”

Words carry weight far beyond what we often realize. They can build someone up or break them down in a matter of seconds. What you say—and how you say it—has the power to shape moments, relationships, and even lives.

So listen up people, speak with intention, kindness, and awareness, because your words may be the very thing someone needs to hear today.

So the next time you speak, choose words that uplift, inspire, and leave a positive impact.

I’m International Speaker Dr. Coffee Cup Chuck, and thank you for joining me for another powerful message. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, and as always, Stay Positive People!!!
