Good Morning People!
Belle grabbed her suitcase, packed with just a few essentials, and walked to the front door, ready to leave. As she did, she listened intently to her husband as he insisted that leaving him would not work out in her favor. He reminded her that, because of him, she had it all and that her life had been perfect.
Belle, however, felt differently. She knew she could make it on her own. She also knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she was a survivor, willing to do whatever it took to live a happier life.
A year later, while sitting on the front porch of her new home, she received a phone call from her ex, begging for reconciliation. Without Belle there to support him mentally and emotionally, he had lost nearly everything.
I guess independence actually did work out in her after all.
Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors! Time to revel in the fact that you are your own worthy opponent. And with that being said, never stop challenging yourself. Your KC metro area weather starts off in the mid-30s and climbs to a high near 48 degrees today. Your topic today is on “The Importance of Your Independence.”
“Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of the human spirit and human dignity.” – Herbert Hoover.
Independence is more than just doing things on your own—it’s about self-reliance, confidence, and the ability to stand strong in your decisions. When you depend too much on others, you limit your own potential. True independence means taking control of your life, making choices that align with your goals, and embracing personal growth.
So listen up, people—waiting for someone else to save you, approve of you, or make things easier for you will only slow you down.
So the next time someone doubts your ability, prove them wrong by showing just how capable and independent you really are!
