The Importance Of Your First Impression

Good Morning People!!

Trenton stepped in the elevator and pushed the button that would take him to the 5th floor. Today was the day he would land the job he’d been in college working towards for the past 4 years. As the elevator doors opened, his phone buzzed. He immediately checked it, put it back in his pocket and stepped out of the elevator. While sitting in the lobby awaiting the interviewer, the phone buzzed again. Again he removed it from his pocket, glanced at it, and shoved it back in his pocket. During his interview, Trenton’s phone not only buzzed once, but 3 times. Each and every time this happened, he took a glance at it. The interviewer notice this and because of of it Trenton had to face the hard truth that after this interview 4 years of preparation was about to go down the drain. Not the best entrance Trenton.

Happy Throwback Thursday my Weekday Warriors! It’s that day again! And to all of my day ones, you know that this is the day where I give you a blast from the past. Expect your KC weather to start off in the mid 70’s and peak out just above 100 degrees today. Please drink your water People.. Your topic for today is on ‘The Importance Of Your First Impression’.

One pet peeve of mines is the cleanliness of my living room. It is the first visual impression your visitors get to see when they enter your home. It is your guests first visual impression of your living beliefs and habits. So listen up People, How you first present yourself to the rest of the world can make all of the difference on how people perceive you.  Always stay tailored and create a genuine likability about yourself that will keep you ready and on your 10 toes and always carry a smile with a firm hand shake. You just never know when you will be meeting the person that’s going to change your life for the better. So the next time you make an appearance, make sure you do your best to make the right one.
