The Importance of Your Ability to See

Follow Good Morning People!!!

Christian couldn’t wait to open the many gifts under the 8-foot tree in his living room. He just knew he’d get what he wanted this year. He opened the first gift, and when he realized it wasn’t what he wanted, he tossed it aside. He repeated this until he reached the last gift, and when he opened it to find only a Rubik’s Cube, his excitement quickly turned to disappointment. His Christmas was ruined—not because he didn’t get what he wanted, but because he couldn’t see that his best gift had already been opened and received.

Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors! It may not be the Christmas season yet, but if you can, gift someone a little extra love today. You never know—it might be just what they need. The KC metro area starts out in the mid-50s and reaches nearly 80 today. Your throwback topic of the week is “The Importance of Your Ability to See.”

The season is among us, people! That means it’s almost time to open up those gifts again! Opening the gift you wanted on Christmas morning is a wonderful experience. Just the thought of receiving that special something can brighten the dimmest day. But let me remind you of a gift we often overlook: the gift of sight. No present under the tree compares to the two gifts you open every morning. Without them, much of your holiday would be a wash. So if Santa didn’t leave what you wanted, be more grateful for what the man upstairs gave you to see with. You see the best gifts aren’t the ones you get to open on a holiday.  The best ones are the ones you get to open every day.

It’s ya boy, Coffee Cup Chuck! Thank you for joining me for another powerful message. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day, and as always, stay positive, people! ☕️😎👍🏾
