Good Morning People!!!
Today was Franklin’s last day. He had been planning to start his own painting business for years, but until he gained enough knowledge about painting—and how to actually run a business—he worked for a company as an employee. The owner of the painting company didn’t foster the best practices, and after years of witnessing some pretty unethical behavior, Franklin decided to expedite his business plans.
He still needed to keep his job, though, and remembering how other employees were treated when they planned to walk away, he decided to keep his plans to himself. Last week, after receiving his business degree, he gave his boss the two week news. Since his boss never really saw it coming, there wasn’t enough time or resources available to sabotage his plans.
Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors! I don’t know about y’all, but I need an extra weekend day to prepare myself for what’s coming next week. Expect your KC metro area weather to start off in the mid-30s and climb into the lower 60’s by this afternoon. Your topic for today is on “The Importance of the Element of Surprise.”
How many times have you had an idea that had the potential to reward you? This idea could not only help provide you with leverage but also offer you great positioning. But because you decided to discuss it with someone, your plan quickly died. We easily forget the fact that everyone isn’t for our success. Because of this, it is best that we learn the elements of how to surprise those people. So listen up, people. By catching these types off guard, you maintain control over the narrative, safeguarding your creative vision. So the next time you come up with the next best thing, keep it to yourself until you’ve fully planned your surprise release.
