Good Morning People!!
A few years ago, I had the honor of reading a book written by Russell H. Conwell entitled Acres of Diamonds. The book is about an African farmer who sold his farm and liquidated all of his assets in order to fund an expedition in pursuit of diamonds. Long story short, the farmer never found what he was searching for. He did, however, lose everything he had while searching. With nowhere to turn, the man threw himself into a river and drowned.
A short time afterward, the farmer who purchased the farm discovered a large, unusual stone in the creek that ran through the property. The stone was a large diamond. You see, the farmer sold his farm to someone else in order to search elsewhere for wealth, not realizing that he already possessed the riches he was seeking. The farm ended up being one of the richest and largest diamond mines in the world.

Back to the hustle like it’s worth the muscle! Today in the KC metro area, we’re starting off in the upper 30’s and climbing into the upper 40’s with a little sunshine peeking through. Your topic for today is on ‘The Importance Of Tending Your Own Grass.’
How many times have you looked at someone else’s life and said to yourself, “Man, I wish that was me”? “I wish my life were as good as theirs,” or “I wish I had all of the stuff he or she has”? We do this without consciously knowing how green the grass really is on the other side. And some of us are willing to risk it all just to find out.
Well, listen up, People—be careful what you go searching for. Just because the grass looks greener from your view doesn’t mean the blades aren’t darker on the side you can’t see. Learn to develop the ground you already stand on, because it’s much easier to water that ground than to travel somewhere else only to find out there is no water.
