Britney sat waiting on her front porch for the Carolina blue conversion van to pull up. She was awaiting the arrival of three of the people who had helped her change her life. You see, just over a year prior, she had been fighting addiction and depression. When her new friends showed up in her life, they quickly showed her that all she needed was the right attention and a little bit of love.

This triggered a response in her so profound that she developed the drive and belief in herself to change.

So, where do you think the Carolina blue conversion van was headed? To change more lives, of course — and this time, Britney would get her shot at doing for others what had been done for her.

So the next time you check your inner circle, ask yourself if they’re helping you rise or pulling you down. As Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
