Curtis looked his younger brother in the face and told him what he needed to hear. His brother had so much going on in his life that he didn’t get around to seeing their mom as much as he probably should have, so Curtis decided that it was time to give him the best reason to finally make the time. “Mom is dying, bro. Everything is shutting down on her, and if you want to make more memories with her, now’s the best time to do so.” At first, his younger brother felt that Curtis was being negative, but not wanting to find out the hard way, he made the extra time. It didn’t take him too long to find out that his older brother had been right, and because he decided to spend that extra time with her, he was able to gain more appreciation of who she was……. I miss you, Mom.
