The Importance Of Silence

Follow Good Morning People!!!

In Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Orfield Laboratories, there exists a room lined on all of its six sides with deep fiberglass wedges, a double wall of insulated steel, and encased in a foot of concrete. Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors! It is the official day of bringing up old stuff, so here you go. Today’s KC Metro area weather starts off in the low 70s but quickly heats up to the mid-90s by early noon. Today’s topic is on ‘the importance of silence.’

How many of you have ever tried recalling a memory by first trying to focus on being quiet? You pause for that brief second, reaching into your mind's past while attempting to block out incoming noise by covering your ears. We unconsciously search for that quiet place to think because many of the answers to our questions can only be found by calm resolve. And what better place to find calm than in silence? Listen up, people: there are so many answers to discover by finding your quiet zone. The fewer words you allow to fill the ether around you, the more room there is for your thoughts to roam. So the next time you are looking for the answers to a problem, find your quiet zone, shut the hell up, and let your thoughts do the talking.
