Good Morning People!!
While serving a short prison sentence back in 1999 at the Omaha Correctional Center in East Omaha, Nebraska, I met a guy named Anthony. Anthony was cooler than the inside of an ice cream lid, so it was no wonder we hit it off so well. We eventually connected on the streets, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because Anthony worked as a lighting technician for a company that needed help. I applied and found a new love for the trade.
Unfortunately, after a year or so, Anthony violated his parole agreement and returned to jail. I never had the opportunity to see him again, but because of him, I’ve been able to create a successful electrical and lighting career for myself. And with that being said; Wherever you are on God’s green earth, I thank you, Anthony.
Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors!
It’s that day again when I hit you with a blast from the past!
Your Kansas City metro area weather for Thursday, February 5, 2026, will be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the mid-30s. Expect mild conditions, a pleasant breeze, and mostly clear skies—a welcome break from recent cold.
Your topic for today is “The Importance of Seasons.”
Has anyone ever come into your life and ruined it? Did you at least learn the lesson? How many of you have ever allowed someone to come into your life and bless it? We often spend much of our energy holding on to “summer” when it is “autumn” that brings the true harvest. We stubbornly refuse to let nature take its course, and because of this, the seasons get mixed up and things “spring” out of order.
Well, listen up, people: some people come into your life for a season, and some come into it for the long haul. Never mix seasonal people up with those who will represent you for life, because when you start blending the seasons, you may end up throwing yourself into an even longer “winter.” And no one likes longer winters.
