Han and Derrick both worked at the towns Kawasaki motor plant. Both worked on the welding line welding the ‘A’ arms for the ATV suspension system. Derrick always finished his quota by mid day, while Han used up most of his morning and afternoon completing his. The difference between the 2 welders was all of the imperfections that Derrick seemed to always have. Han’s work, although done at a slower pace, was always perfect. By the end of quarter, both men were brought into the office for review. One of 2 lost their job, while the other, got an advancement. I guess a turtles pace can really win the race.
Happy Humpin Wednesday my Weekday Warriors! As we crest the hump of our work week, one question should be going through your minds. If I’ve made it up to this point in life, how much more can I accomplish if I keep going? Let that set for a minute. Your KC metro area weather starts off in the upper 50’s and hits a high of 74 degrees. Today’s topic is on ‘The Importance Of Pacing Yourself’.
In the race towards our ambitions, the urge to rush through things can be a big issue. Yet, the wisdom of pacing oneself cannot be overstated. So listen up, People! When you pace yourself you ensure balance, avoiding the pitfalls of burnout and exhaustion. It’s a strategic approach, allowing for steady progress and sustainable growth. When we push too hard, too fast, we risk losing momentum before the finish line. By pacing, we create space for reflection, adaptation, and self-care. It’s not just about the sprint—it’s about the marathon. So the next time you feel the need to rush through something, remember that even the turtle can win when it takes the efficient route.
