Solomon walked out to the curb that sat in front of his new home and turned to look at the finished product. It had taken 6 months to complete the construction. During the erection period, he’d gained a few local enemy’s due to the muddy streets and early morning drilling and hammering. Since this was the home him and his small family would have to live in for the rest of their lives, Solomon knew that he would have to make things right with all of his new neighbors. So the weekend after their initial move in, Solomon decided to rent a few bounce houses and grill hamburger for the whole neighborhood. Because of this extra effort to keep the peace, Solomon and his family became the neighborhood favorites.

In today’s world, it is so easy to offend someone. If you do anything at all, someone takes it the wrong way. If you say anything at all, someone takes it the wrong way. So how do you avoid it? The answer is this; you don’t. Listen up people, since you can’t control anyone else but yourself, the one thing you can do to help eliminate the war is to acknowledge the offended with a positive peace offering of some sort. By finding ways to turn those frowns upside down, you create an environment that helps lighten the mood, which in turn can possibly help make a friend out of the situation. So the next time you find yourself in an unnecessary war zone, remember to handle things as peaceful as you can by offering up a positive solution.
