Good Evening People!!
Hattie and two of her roommates sat on the elevator floor with their knees drawn up. They’d been stuck between the 3rd and 4th floors of their apartment building for hours. During this unfortunate event, Hattie’s roommates, already frustrated, ambushed her about her late portion of the rent—now her third time being late. They also brought up how it was likely because of her boyfriend. Instead of spending her money on herself, she allowed her unfaithful man to take it all. Trapped in the elevator with nowhere to go, she had to face the hard truth: her boyfriend was using her. Finally realizing the situation she’d placed her roommates and herself in, she called him and ended it. Because of this, the elevator ride became the best ride of her life.

Have you ever heard the saying, “What you don’t know, you don’t know”? What about, “What you DO know, you ignore”? We get weak in our nature at times and need others to nudge us back in the right direction. We see ourselves spiraling downhill, yet without outside interference, we are either blind to it or ignore our intuition. So listen up, People. It sometimes requires help from more than one person to get through to someone who may not truly understand their situation. Because they may not be willing to face the conversation, catching them off guard with others may be the trick needed to help them see what they may not. Tough love is sometimes the best love—and may be the only thing needed to break through.
