The Importance Of Intervention

Good Evening People!!

Hattie, and 2 of her roommates, sat on the elevator floor with their knees drawn up. They’d been stuck between the 3rd and 4th floor of their apartment building for hours. During this unfortunate event Hattie’s roommates (already frustrated) ambushed her by asking about her now late portion of the rent. This was now her 3rd time being late. They also brought up how it was most likely because of her boyfriend. You see, instead of Hattie spending her money on herself, she allowed her, not so faithful man, to take it all from her. Seeing that she was stuck on the elevator with her roommates with no where to go, she had to face up to the hard truth. Her boyfriend was using her. Finally realizing the situation she’d placed her roommates and herself in, She called him up and ended it. Because of this, the elevator ride ended up being the best ride of her life.

Happy Taco Tuesday my Weekday Warriors! Your KC metro area weather starts out in the lower 30’s today and only reaches a high of 46 degrees. Today’s topic is on ‘The Importance Of Intervention’.

Have you ever heard of the saying that goes; ‘What you don’t know, you don’t know’? Well what about the one that goes; ‘What you DO know, you ignore’? We get weak in our nature at times and require the help of others to help nudge us back in the right direction. We see ourselves spiraling down hill, yet without outside interference we are either blind to the fact or we ignore our own intuition. Well listen up People. It sometimes requires the helpful from more than just one person to get through to someone that may not truly understand a situation they’re in. Because of the fact that they may not be willing to face the conversation, catching them off guard with a few others may be just the trick needed to help them see what they may not. Tough love, is sometimes the best love and may be the only thing needed to get through it.
