There had been a lot of recent break-ins in the neighborhood that Chuck had lived in for the past 9 years—5 cars alone in just the past week. Because of this, the neighborhood seemed to go into protection mode. Some of his neighbors started leaving their porch lights on, while others installed doorbell cameras. Even neighbors who had never spoken to one another started striking up conversations. So, with Chuck being the social bug that he was, he decided to organize a neighborhood block party. This turned out to be a hit, helping create a neighborhood watch community and an annual event that helped build a powerful fortress among them. How are you helping your community thrive?
