The Importance of Continued Education

Good Morning People!!!

Roslyn sat reading Good to Great by James C. Collins, a book about achieving lasting greatness through disciplined leadership, focus, and adaptability. It highlights the importance of excelling at what you do best while embracing change. Roslyn had been out of school for two years, and even though she graduated with flying colors, she never stopped yearning to learn more. Instead of letting her modern-day schooling come to a brick wall, she decided there was nothing wrong with adding a large picture window to that wall, broadening her view of a world filled with more education. Because of this decision she grows smarter every day. As the old saying goes, “The more you know, the more you grow.”

Happy middle of the week, my Weekday Warriors! The temperature outside today is making a strong statement that fall is finally behind us, and winter is here for the time being. Speaking of the weather, your KC metro area forecast starts out in the upper 20s and only reaches a high of 38 degrees today. Your Hump Day topic is: “The Importance of Continued Education.”

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” – W.B. Yeats. Self-education is the fuel that keeps that fire alive, empowering us to learn, adapt, and grow beyond formal classrooms. The world is constantly changing, and those who embrace lifelong learning thrive. So listen up, people: the resources are endless—books, podcasts, online courses, and mentors are all within reach. It’s about staying curious and taking charge of your own development. So the next time you feel stuck or unmotivated, remember: self-education is the key to unlocking your full potential and creating a life you love. Keep learning, keep growing.
