Good Morning People!!!

It was 3:30 am and Jamie couldn’t sleep. She tried everything she could to do so, but her anxiety wouldn’t allow her the pleasure. You see, Jamie was awaiting her 3rd foster review of the week in less than 5 hours. This interview could make the difference of if she stayed in the foster home, or if she would be starting all over again somewhere else. At only 10 years old, she just wanted her own room, a pet, a sibling to play with, and a parent watching through the bathroom mirrors reflection while she brushed her teeth before bed. She just wanted to be apart of something bigger that 5 other kids stuck in foster prison sharing the same room. Jamie just wanted a family.

Have you ever felt alone? And when I say alone, I don’t just mean left behind for the day. I mean, have you ever felt completely abandoned, exiled, looked over, or even forgotten about? That feeling of just needing to be wanted but never really feeling like you ever belonged? Well listen up People, belonging to something, sometimes requires you to first become something, and becoming the person you want others to be is probably going to be your best option. Learn to attract your environment by becoming the person that’s required, because when you do this you are actually giving the power to yourself to create the outcome. So the next time you start feel a little left out. Don’t just stand there hoping, wishing and waiting for someone to let you in, place yourself in the position to fit in without the invite.
