The Importance of Asking the Right Questions

Good Morning People!!!


Gaylen walked into the job trailer with a bag of potatoes and straws. He looked at the seven new electrical apprentices standing just inside the door and began handing each one a potato and a straw. They looked bewildered as they received these items from their new foreman. He then told them he had a meeting with the fire inspector and would return in 15 minutes, but while he was gone, he wanted them to push their straws completely through the potatoes. No one spoke, so he asked if there were any questions. After hearing none, he left. When he returned, the trailer was filled with broken straws. He told them that in an electrical situation, they’d all be dead. Because no one asked for directions, they had all failed their first challenge. Want to know the worst question you could possibly ask? No question at all.
